Forget the Remora
Deltec MCE600, or the Tunze DOC 9010 "in tank" skimmer is a really nice one.

Remoras are fine if you dont want a skimmer that skims well.
The 9010 is not that big and from what I've seen kicks major booty. I'd take it over the Deltec.

DOC Skimmer 9010
Recommended for aquariums up to
1,000 litres (264 US gal.) of salt water.

Dimensions: L125 x W113 x H418
mm (L4.9 x W4.4 x H16.8 in.)
230V/50Hz (115V/60Hz) 21 W,
Water throughput: 1,200
l/h (317 US gal./h)
Air capacity: 650 l/h (171 US gal./h)
Skimmer cup volume: .7 l (.18
US gal.). Equipped with the
accessories for internal and
aquarium cabinet operation

A Prizm to Remora is a lateral move.

I think it is all ready to go. It comes with the HW to run in sump or in tank. Try www.premiumaquatics.com.

i really appreciate your help...you get bombarded with so much marketing and it makes it very difficult to make a sound decision about what to get.
thanks a million
by the way, what is HW

HW = Hardware
You are welcome. The thing is with HOB skimmers is most are not worth bothering with. There are lots of good in sump skimmers, and very few HOB or in display that are worth buying. The Tunze is nice since:
It cant leak/overflow outside of the tank
Has a decent size collection cup
Can be also used in sump
Is very quiet
Performs well
