Question CSS 125 with SEDRA 3500?

Just need to know if I can run a SEDRA 3500 needlewheel with a Coralife Skimmer 125. I need to replace the factory pump because it burns up. Sugestions welcome.

I don't know what the gph of the 3500 is, but if its 3500lph than I think that would be too much. I would think the Genx 2400, Ocean Runner 2700, or the OTP 2000 would all be good choices. If I had to choose between the three I would go for the OTP 2000 because it should pull more air than the others stock, but will kill 'em w/ a mesh mod.

You can find them $10 cheaper, but backordered.

I actually have one ordered and am waiting for it to arrive.

I heard good things about them from the guys on the diy forum.

Factory pumps are rated for 500gph. I don't think it would hurt to go a bit higher. All the pumps I mentioned would be in range I think. I am currently running This pump on my 220 w/ surprisingly good results. If you are at all a diy kind of guy this would work out well for you and pull less energy than a the stock pump. Your skimmer would probrably do better than mine w/ this pump because of the smaller diameter. Lots of air w/ little turbulance.
