light distance above the water
how far should I have my lights above my water, 2 175w MH, 1 250w MH and VHOs this is on a 210g tank?

I would say about 6 to 8 inches.

I'm at 7 in. anything higher seems really dim.

thanks for the quick response, another quick question, I am about to put the top of the stand on the frame I am using a 3/4 inch pice of plywood, is it ok to put the screws through the plywood into the frame under where the tank will sit and just counter sink the screws?
