Snail Spawn?

When I got home today, there is a long white stringy something stuck on the front glass of my tank (sorry no pic). It's about 5-6" long and in a curvy pattern. Kind of transparent with a bunch of little white dots in it. Did a snail spawn maybe? Do I just leave it be?
