High ph --- help!

My tank's PH usually ranges from 7.9(night) to 8.1(day). Well i added a kalk reactor on Wednesday and the PH has been awesome at 8.3 - 8.4 which made me very happy . Just now i walked by the tank and the PH monitor read 8.5. Should i freak out? Is this something to worry about? I have a good amount of flow in the tank and the kalkwasser drips into the return pump compartment of my sump when my outo top off float switch lowers. Also i just read the specs on my Milwakee PH meter and it's acuracy is +/- .2 ... should i do anything at this time? is this a dangerous level. All critters seem verry happy.

Thanks!

level is high but not in any danger zone unless you get higher than 8.5, but i wouldnt freak-out yet there is a solution.
1) 5% distilled white vinegar.
2) ONE mL per 10 gallons every 30 minutes will slowly drop pH and Alkalinity.
3) so, my advice is to monitor it, and if it rises above 8.5, then add the vinegar in your sumps highest flow area available, and adjust your kalk to lower level.
have a great weekend, and good luck!

Thanks reefnetworth,

Ill keep an eye on in. I think that maybe i found the reason for my high PH... along with the kalk reactor, i installed two 4" fans pointing right down sump to increase evaporation so more kalk would be added. Do you think that this might be the cause... i switched them off to see what happens
