Like Skippy2 I also have an Aqua C Remora and love it. My tank is in the corner of my room and the Remora is a bit on the loud side. I can, and have, slept through a natural disaster so the noise doesn't bother me but I could see it bothering some.

Love it. Bulky, but love it. I use the skimmer box.

I have Aqua C Remora Pro w/ Mag 3 & pre skimmer box. It's a little bulky but I love it. Works great.
This was the most suggested skimmer when I asked for advice prior to purchasing.

I owned a Remora Pro with a Mag 5. I worked well for me. Not great but well.

Which model do you have? Is this for your 130 gallon? I have a Remora and it's great for a smaller tank like mine.

Whats the trick to getting a Mag 5 hooked up to the Remora Pro?

I have the Remora Pro, but opted to get it with the Rio 1400. Now, I'm having second thoughts and I think I would like to rid myself of any future potential issues by replacing the Rio.

The Rio hooks up to the Pro with 3/4" ID tubing. Doesn't the Mag 5 have a 1/2" outlet?

i have an aquac remora pro. been running over a year now and working great! little maintenance, easy to clean. dont bother wasting your money buying a skimmer box for it. just my two cents.

I wouldn't bother with a skimmer box either. From what I understand it takes up too much real estate in the tank.
