What kind of lights do I need for a fish only tank?
I'd like to search but the forum hasn't let me for the past 5 days . . .saying there is heavy server burden. Thanks for the help! |

Any will work for a fish only. The fish don't really have a preference. If you really want to show off their colors I'd get at least power compacts. Usually a search after midnight works ok.
What size tank?

Actually I am thinking FOWLR. I have been reading the about.com articles on saltwater lighting. I'm not sure if I really want anything other than fish and live rock though. Will Live rock do okay under power compacts? I guess i am unsure about live rock needs . . .are there any?
It's a 110g. For a tank such as this with 60.5" in length, Is it ok to go with 48" lights? Will they diffuse enough to hit the sides, or do i need to go all the way across with 48" tubes? Thanks! |
