sharing my plans for the weekend
hey everyone..my tank is coming up on 4 months this weekend and i figured i would do alittle improvement on it!! so this weekend im gonna build a standpipe for my overflow, build a new cabinet to fit all my tanks including the refuge i just finished building and installing the lights on, re plumbing basically everything with pvc piping and moving my overflow from going into the sump to the refuge first, finish up my qt tank
![]() still have to get my salt mix tank all the pumps and piping and keep in mind that i have my tank in my room and most like to say thats its about the size of a jail cell!! not that bad but its def turning into a fish store! need to get some pics up here! i keep saying i will but i never do haha!! if u guys could show me some pics of ur plumbing that would be great! thanks all |

Here's my plumbing and total system. Also note that you
cannot rely on a check valve. It could fail and cause plenty of problems. The sure fire way to avoid reverse siphon from your pump when the power goes out is to place you return nozzles close to the water surface. You will have some drain but the air will stop the flow. Also having room in your sump to allow the extra saltwater is a good idea too. ![]()
