gen-x pumps

I am looking at the gen-x pcx-70 pump and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with gen-x pumps and if they liked them or not.
Thanks
Jeff

I have a Gen-X PCX 55 that has been running non stop for a year. For $139 bucks I couldn't be happier. Of course after telling you this the thing will probably puke on me the minute I hit "Submit Reply'.

I primarily run gen-x pumps. They have served me well. The original one i purchased over four years ago is still in opperation.I have several different sizes in use. Heat is not a big issue with them, nor is noise(unless the fan blade housing is dirty)

I run a Mak4 as a return from my basement sump. Works great and was 1/2 the price of other externals. Its not what i would call a quiet pump, but I dont care in this setup.

I have 3 Mak4s . I use them for various things. I just had one on my closed loop burn out a bearing the other day. It has been running nonstop for about 2.5yrs. I will replace the bearing and it will be good as new.

I love them for the price.

I run the pcx 55 for my skimmer. Considering the crap that has been accidentally sucked into it, it's been great. Easy to service too...nice solid impeller.
