protein skimmer question
I have a visi-jet protein skimmer, that seems to be producing a lot of foam. MY collection cup fills up with water pretty fast. I was wondering if this is the waste I want. It is definately producing bubbles into the collection cup, not just pouring water in to it, but it fills up with a greenish water, not the orange and brown junk I see in other peoples protein skimmer.

too much water flow......set it to mix in more bubbles....you want a brown/black stinky "what died in here" mess....not a green tea.....

Don't get caught up into the skimmate envy. It will depend on your bio load. It does sound like you are skimming "wet" though. The skimmer will take some adjustment to get the right mix.
