Best Orientation for new yellow leather
I bought a yellow leather coral today and placed it into my 65Gal
reef. I wasn't sure what the correct way to orient it is. It is sort of cup shaped. Should the "cup" be pointing up to maximize the light it gets or should it be vertical so stuff doesn't settle in it? Any ideas? |

Cup up is standard. If anything collects on it, use a turkey baster every day or two to keep it from collecting any debris..

If you have to mount it vertical for whatever reason, don't worry, it will turn upright on its own in time. Because of the rock's shape on which mine was attached, I had to place mine in a vertical orientation to begin, within 4 weeks it grew out and turned its cup horizontal.
