Please help me solve issues with this setup

So I bought this tank:

Although there are a few issues I need to address mainly I need help with issue of the noise of the drains and plumbing. I can literally hear the drainage slurping and gurgling from this setup from another room. There is a lot of noise from the swirl effect the water going down the drains(see pic1). Then there is a lot of noise from the plumbing itself (water getting down to the sump).
Will a bigger pump help? I'm open to any options(even plumbing in the tank). I don't need a silent setup but the sound this setup make is unbearable. The tank is too cool to give up on.

Sump issue: When turning the sump pump off the drainage from the tank to the sump is a good 5-6 gallons. If I allow for this 5-6 gallons of tank drainage then I can barely keep the water level about the sump pump. This is even before adding the skimmer that came with this deal. I'm thinking this 15 gallon sump tank will not work and I'll need a taller with more water volume. The problem is the cabinet will only take a 24 inch long tank so I think my options are limited here.

Flow issue: The CA 3000 sump pump that came with this deal is barely producing any output flow. Not sure I'll get enough water turnover. CA-3000 Pumps 950 GPH at 0 feet

Hey, nice tank. I am guessing if your getting 5-6 g when you turn the pump off, the water is draining back through the outputs. You could put check valves on and that may save a few gallons. As far as the noise, only thing I can see is lowering the drains(replacing the 90's with strainers) but then with the pump off you'll still need a bigger sump. Don't think you will be able to acheive both. I would switch out the pump for a quiet one 4000HH, not too expensive and that should dramatically improve your flow. Hope that helps.
