Preparing for the big move!! Help/Advice

Hi everyone,

So in 2-3 weeks I'm going to be moving my 120g tank about 3 hours away.

I haven't even planned out how I'm going to do it yet but I need sealed stuff because it's being transported in the back of our buick rendezvous.

The tank will only be setup for 2-4 weeks at home before it's all then transferred again to a new tank. It will just be placed on the floor and rocks will be put in randomly with little concern for appearance

Does anyone have ideas of how I can transport that much rock/water and still keep it all tightly sealed?

Contents::
Tank is 120g no sump or anything
~150 lbs of rock
~2-3" of sand... I think I need to save some of this just to cover the bottom of the tank

I'm going to put all of the livestock in individual bags and each coral in its own bag as well. What about inverts such as shrimp/crabs? I have 8 shrimp/60+ snails/60+ crabs and 2 pistol shrimp.

This is what the tank looks like:

I would get some of the disposable tupperware containers for your livestock

I moved my tank twice in the last 2 years, and helped a friend move his. I have used old salt buckets with lids to transport everything. Place fish in one bucket and since it's a long trip you may want to look into a battery powered air pump to keep the water oxygenated for the trip. Petco has them for a few bucks. Fill a bucket about halway with rock and put enough water in to cover the rock. Use tank water in all the buckets. I would recommend buying new sand for the new setup. When you are ready to set up the new tank start mixing new water. Add some of the old tank water to the new setup to "seed" the water and help with the cycle. Last 2 times i moved tanks I ended up doing about a 60% water change. Any other questions just PM me.
