hydor ario turbo
i posted this in the diy forum without much luck...hopefully here i can get some user experience.
I saw this thing and imediately thought of a nice NW skimmer pump. Could me a nice addition to square nano skimmers. The picture shows the bubbles it makes in FW, I am curious about SW. It seems to have an impeller simmilar to the Red Sea "turbo" impellers. anyone have any experience with this? http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Produ...6&N=2004+113800 eric

I have one in my daughters FW tank. It produces a lot of bubbles, but not the quantity of the tiny ones you generally see in a good skimmer. Maybe worth a shot if you want to try and mod it. But it will not do the job as is.

cshwaj, could you try placing the ario in SW and see the bubble size on it? comparing output and bubble size in FW is like apples to oranges. Put a bubble king and FW and even it will look like a joke.
