Java Rock q

Hey,
I used to have a freshwater tank running with java rock, but i tore that tank down and put the dry rock into a tub for like 6 months in my garage. Could i boil the rock and put it in my reef tank?

I've never heard of java rock. Are you sure you aren't thinking of Fiji Rock?
