T5's and Happy
Good evening to all,
Hope you all have a great Easter. I just got my Nova Extreme set up, and compared to the cheap set of lights that came with my 75 gal tank (from our LFS..that is very small) it looks beautiful, I have the 8x 54's (4 blue and 4 white) along with 4 white moon lights. This gives me about 5.75 watts per gallon, will this give enought light to handle just about any corals I want to put in there. Thanks, Jim Sr.......Hi Jimmy..see u in the morning |

i have that same unit over my 75g and i keep sps also and get great growth from them, and this unit doesn't even have individual reflectors.

Look into the individual reflectors for even better growth

8 t5s over a 75.... Your good to keep anything, at most levels too. I agree that it sucks that it doesnt have individual reflectors, but its still alot of light power over a 75g. Ignore the watts per gallon rule, it isnt a good measurement.

8 bulbs is huge. I have 6 54W over a 75g and its way to much light for my soft corals - I usually only keep 4 on.
