Other than a foxface what are some good algae eating fish?

Yellow tang, regal tang, Kole tang, and a lawnmower blenny. For your size tank, I would go with a Kole or a blenny. Also, try some P04 remover... it works wonders for algae.

A Kole would be ok in a 55? thought they needed more than that.
