I think the point of having a conch is that they feed themselves. They eat all the tanks leftovers. If you feed your fish then you are feeding your conch.

if you run out of algae they can reach, they feed quite readily on algae sheets.

My conch ate my other snails... and then my 1'st clam..

I gave it to a local reefer for her aggressive tank...

then you didn't have a true Strombus conch, but more likely a crown 'conch' or one of the other predator snails mislabeled as conchs.

here's some info on 'conchs' in general.
Shell ID

Conchs

I have two good size conch and don't feed them anything specificaly. They just sift the sand all day. That is their purpose anyways, right?

They usually will not require extra feeding until they get larger. A queen conch for instance can get very large and it would be very difficult to support this species on the naturally occuring algae alone. Any algae sheets are a good bet, also the spriulina based algae wafers/pellets. May feed on Macroalgae as well.

It seems my conch has a taste for left over bait shrimp. He covered it and when done they was nothing left but shell.I guess it will be happy with that.

I am sorry but I read the title of this thread and started laughing. If you speak any Spanish you will know what I mean.
