RO/DI recommendation?
I will be purchasing one from premium aquatics, does anyone have a recommendation on one there? It seems the cheaper 4 stage units (premium reef) have good reviews. Or would it be better to get the more pricey aquaFX, spectra pure, kent or seachem units?
Thanks for the help. |

I'd go with this one:

I have a SpectraPure CSP-DI 80gpd which is the same as the new CSP 90gpd 4-stage unit (on Premium Aquatics site). I can't say enough good things about this unit. It consistantly gives me 0 tds water.
The customer service at SpectraPure is great also. I recently had to replace the probe on the DI tester that comes w/ the unit. SpectraPure can no longer get the probes, but Scott managed to dig me up one (very quickly) and sent it along w/ my new DI filter for only $5 (when they had them they were $7). Just check in the sponsor's forum for SpectraPure and you will see lots of cases where they really take care of their customers and seek to put out a top-of-the-line product.

I have a Purely H2O Optima Vision that I bought and never hooked up due to getting the SpectraPure. Purely H2O guarantees 0 tds from the Optima Vision. It uses Dow Filmtec membranes and appears to be very good unit. And they only cost about $150 new. If you're interested in one I can sell mine for a little cheaper then the new price.
