qt question
i have read this thread on getting a qt tank http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2...ature/index.php and it is a must for all new purchases, but lets say that the fish that i want at the lfs has been there for a month and it doesn't have any illness, do i have to qt him still for another month or so???, or can i ask the salesperson to qt it for me???

I would do a qt at home. Even though the fish looks healthy at the store they are still in the stores' water system. Things might not pop up at the store like they would in your controlled qt environment. Time would only tell. Besides bringing a bug home, the transition to your display will be much smoother with less stress to the animal from your qt to the display.
