Mixing carbon and phosban in one reactor?
In one phosban reactor? Or should I get seperate ones?
Any pumps people recommend? Would the spare MAXI 600 I have be too strong..? |

You can mix the two without any problems. I run both in my reactor.

Cool, thanks.
Do you think the 600 is to much GPH? And how tightly do you pack (or fill) the reactor?

Don't pack it too tight. You can try a 600, but may want to drop it down by half. Just run it and test your water, test, test, test. If your not seeing much result, smaller pump.

You can put a valve on the feed line to adjust flow, works great.

Thanks. I will use a valve and my spare pump. I know that ball valves can be hard on pumps, but its just a tough little maxi... heh
I have zero PO4, and just want to keep it that way and run small amounts aften, with mostly carbon as filler, which is why I started the thread Reactor ordered and time to ditch that ol' canister.
