Diatoms

Started getting diatoms my sand about a month ago. Po4 is at .042ppm. nitrates 0. I started phosban in a reactor last week. I siphoned out all of my sand and washed it in hot tap water the rinsed in Ro/di and returned to tank. Now I'm getting more diatoms growing on the sand again. Any thoughts??

Just let it be and get a few snails and do regular water changes. When you took your sand out you and rinsed it,you killed all the good stuff in the sand and now you have to start over.
