kinda confusing light set up..help
ok well tenecor sucks and my canopy they made is falling apart.. so i need to getrid of it. meaning i need to redo my lighting ( currently vho)
this is an sps tank andii cant decide what i should use for lighting i could do two 250 watt 14ks with 2 actinic white vhos think this would be enoughf or a 60 inch by 24 inch by 24 inch tank i would use lumenarc reflectors to get lotsa spread on the light. ( i cant have 3 lights because of the acrylic center brace |

'' could do two 250 watt 14ks with 2 actinic white vhos''
That sounds good to me. |

I had two lumenarc reflectors with 250 SE on my 5ft long tank and it was good. 14ks are nice bulbs by themselves but if you are going to get MH and VHO take a look at reeflux 10ks. It brings out some nice colors from the corals, but kinda goofy looking by themselves.
Just a friendly reminder, you'll probably generate much more heat then before so do make sure, when you design your canopy, to include some fans, but unfortunately sometimes fans are not enough and a chiller will be needed. |
