High and Low Nitrates?!??!!????

I have the Red Sea Marine lab test kit, and on my color card to match my tests, there is a Low Nitrate and a High Nitrate. I had a 25 on the High Nitrate scale and a 5.0 on the Low Nitrate scale...what's the difference? Which one do I go by? What do they mean?

Thanks,
-Simon

You have to go over the low scale...which I think is 50?, and then use the high scale. Read the little manual.

I use the same one right now...dropping it soon....they aren't that realiable.

So your trates are at 5

Wow, I feel like an idiot...I read all the manuals, and read the "nitrate" one over probably 3 times trying to figure it out...I just never read the last part of directions...thanks a lot though Rod, you probably just saved me a lot more time, haha...

It really sucks to hear that it isn't realiable...now that I forked over about 40 bucks for it...blah, oh well.
How unreliable is it? And what's better?

anything salifert is the best and thats what I am going to start using.

I bought that same kit, and yeah I think it was 40 bucks. It can be a few off. Which sometimes doesn't matter, but when you start keeping harder corals....I want to be extremely accurate. But you should be good right now.

BTW, I used to live in Boone, and I go to Bristol, Tn twice a year (take a guess what for). So, keep it real in those mtns for me!

NICE! I live in boones creek right now, although I go to Science Hill HS. I have lived here since July, moved here from from Louisville, KY...
But yeah, about the local fish store in bristol, I think it's the one that moved to piney flatts like last July (06). I went today too pick up some pre-mixed saltwater and painfully discovered that they are closing for good saturday . Sucks because I just set up my tank too and all livestock is like 50+% off and my tank is still cycling. Murphy's Law in action.
