Will a controller work for my application?
I am contemplating buying a controller but do not know if they will work for my application. Here is why.
My tank is in one room and most of my equipment is in another room. I have electrical panels in both rooms. Under the tank is one panel, equipped with timers for the tank lights, fans, moonlights etc. In an adjacent room I have a panel to control all of the pumps, skimmer, CA Reactor, Heaters, Chiller, etc... Since not all equipment is in the same room, can a controller be used to its full potential? |

Check in to http://www.neptunesys.com/ , I have a AC jr. and love it, I was going to buy a temp controller, wave maker, ph meter or controller, and some nice timers... well it took care of all of it. and graphs it on the computer. you can have power strips connected together (yet rooms apart) by telephone type cable.
p.s. Ive always loved/envyed your stand!!

I'm not sure what kind of controller. I really haven't started shopping for them yet because I didn't know if they would work in my system. I began looking for a ph controller for my CA Reactor and someone suggested I just spend a little more for a complete controller.
Could I have the controller mounted in my stand and use it to control the equipment in the other room? What connections are necessary to accomplish this? Is that what the extra "modules" are for? Bri Guy- thanks for the compliment on my stand. |

I have an ACjr in the stand of my 180G. Connected to it is a DC4 (4 outlets) that control lights and fans in the hood. Temp and PH probe are also connected to the control unit and the probes are in an overflow. I also have a DC8 (8 outlets) connected. The DC8 is in the basement sump room. It controllers heaters, skimmer, return pump, fuge light. You just need phone wire to connect the remote DC4 or DC8.
