In general, how do you find a fitting light hood?

I've been searching and searching... but none of the hoods seem to fit the dimensions of the tank I'd like to use (a regular AGA 5.5g / $10).

The top measures about 16 x 8.

Am I missing a concept here?\

It's about the right size (16 x 4.3 x 3.5), but it's for refugiums. It has a single 24W @ 7100K; $50 + s&h.
