Water Flow

Not a typical problem but is there anything out there to measure with any accuracy the water flow rate for the return pump. Wondering if I might have a case of too much for a softy tank. System is this

Amiracle Wet/dry PL3000 Rated for a 150-300 Gal Tank

Little Giant 4 mdqx sc rated at 1325gph (iam guessing a head of about 7 ft with 90*'s and all calculated) Giving me a RATED flow of about 1000gph

The spray bar is actually set up as a square with a majority of the holes on top with a 5 on opposite side of overflow going down and a few along the bottom as it was orginally set up on a BB tank. Thanks

Now the Kicker is this is set up on a 40H Tank. With a flow 500gph thats 12.5 time turnover per hour.

Any ideas is this too much or is there a flow meter so I can adjust it to a reasonable amount of turnover.

i can actually still bump up the flow it seem s to have more umph avalibale, just have to add the other overflow i have
