Humidity Controller?

I started this tank in the winter, now its summer I am running into ptoblems. I wanted to know if there was a humidity sensor that could turn on an exhaust fan at a set level. My fan across the top of the water trick only works when the room isnt humid.

Dehumidifiers tend to throw off too much heat. Sure they dry the air but make the room hot at the same time.

true, but it depends on where you have them. My reef is in the basement and it keeps it mighty cool down there, but the humidity increases in the summer. So the dehumidifier has worked well, as long as i keep it on 70% or higher. below that would suck too much water out of the tank.

70% or higher seems awfully high. Does it rain much in your basement? I have my dehumidifier set to about 45%.
