New Tank Help
I am starting a 24-gallon aquapod in the hopes this will become my first reef aquarium. I have had 2 not-so-very successful tanks in the past so I will be coming here for help.
On June first I made up the water, on the second I put live sand, the third I put live rockā¦I was told to wait about a week before I put any fish in it but I get multiple answers to the same question, which I expect. So my question is: When would be the best time to add a fish and maybe some snails?

When I put in the live rock it appeared to have baby starfish on it? Is that common? Or are they starfish?

well you are going to epereance whats called a cycle where all the levels in the tank are going to be off charts this will take about a month be for it settels down. you will get algae blooms and every thing else that would make clean a tank. only thing to do is weekly water changes. but once that passes then your free to what ever you want.
hope that makes sence |

* New-First Time on RC-Look Here for Answers
Go back to the first page of "New to the hobby" and click on the link listed above. READ and you will get better educated on what to do, what to expect, and how to avoid some of the problems that all new "uninformed" reefkeepers experience. While asking questions here is a good place for information, if you take the time to read and educated yourself there are fewer questions you will have to ask and less time you will have to take correcting problems. Good luck and keep posting your success and failure here so we can all learn. Pics are always welcome. Most of all have fun with it.

It's pretty common to get little hitchhikers on your rock. Sometimes you get something pretty sweet!
