do shrimps shed their skin?

hello, i resently got a cleaner shrimp yesterday and it is doing fine. i came home today and i see two shrimps. i looked a little closer at the second one and it is compleatly transparent. either the other one gave birth to a shrimp and it died or it sheded his skin. can you please tell me what happend. thank you

they clone each other and in the process one of the two sometimes dies

yes they do. my cleaner shrimp did about once a month or so.

yup..that's molting. you can either leave it in there and your clean up crew will take care of it or you can remove it. i always removed it cuz i thought it looked bad....but up to you

keep an eye on your shrimp shortly after it's molted though, they are more vulnerable at this point while their new skeleton is hardening, so i've heard at least.
