Anyone tried the Merk-Deltec phosphate test kit?

I'm planning on buying this 87 dollar test kit unless somebody gives me a reason otherwise.

I am not happy with my current phosphate test and would really like to know exactly what the level is in my tank, how it fluctuates and what my new RO/DI water is exactly, so I know if the filters/DI need to be replaced. Would also like to compare the use of Rowaphos vs. Phosban in the reactor.

Anyone have any experience with it? I'm going to get it soon. If anybody's curious, I will report back here on it.

I certainly won't tell you not to buy it. When my Elos kit runs low, I'm gonna get a Merck kit and put the two of them side by side for a little sort of comparison. The guy in the laboratory already told me that he would not use his gas chromatograph to test a sample (hey, I asked!!) I won't know "scientifically" which one is more accurate, but I use Potassium Phosphate in my FW tank. I can make up a few batches of water with a known quantity of phosphate and see what happens. Having access to scales that read 0.001 grams is nice.

By the way, it's too bad that so few people in our nation are inspired by the words in your signature. I consider about 98% of all politicians to be worthy of public tar and feathering for treason.
