I need some help/input

Hello everyone. I am still up in the air on what lighting scheme I am going to upgrade to on my 125g. I am doing HQI's and t-5's. The tank has a 3" center brace. Is anyone runner 3 halides with a center brace? If so can I see some pictures. I would like to do 3 but I dont know how much light the brace is going to block.

TIA
Doug

Buddy runs a 6ft wide tank with a center brace, 3 MH, center brace does not affect things due to the reflectors.

for my 6' tank i opted to only go with 2x250watt MH, and skipped a third over the center brace. felt that the brace would block too much light, and didn't want to waste the energy. also thought this would provide a lower light section for the corals that prefer that. overall the lighting is surprisingly uniform throughout the tank, the only noticeable aspect is that the shimmer lines fade away the further you get from the lights.

Are you intent on the MH's? Any chance you would consider a straight up HOT5 setup? I think they offer more consistent coverage, less heat issues, etc.
