Who wires their Fans in with their Lights?

Who wires their fans in with their lighting using a 110Volt fan?

Or, do you guys wire those separatly?
Im planning on using 12Volt R.S. fans on an adapter...

Which would be better? 110 or 12?

I think the 12's would be quiet.

I use 12's on mine. I run my actinic bulbs 12 hrs/day and my metal halides 10 hrs/day. The actinics come on 1 hr before and go off 1 hr after the metal halides. I wired my fans in with the actinics so that they would stay on an extra hr after the halides go out to help get all that heat out.

I run mine wired straight in with the lights in the summer and then run it 24/7 in the winter. If I don't run it at night in the winter my tank gets warmer because the heat cycles more at night. My fan is a 110 and doesn't really make that much noise.
