Unhappy Elctronic timer problems with my MH's

Hi,

I've had a number of electronic timers, both mechanical and digital, that have eventually just become open circuits that are permanently on. Its really annoying to come home after a night out and see the lights still on at midnight!!

My last one was a good quality digital that lasted a week!

Has anyone experienced this before. Is there a solution?

Cheers
