Question Could various shrimp/goby pairs get along?

I was thinking today that it might be cool to have a little tank with various shrimp/goby pairs! Maybe with softies, a pom pom crab and some sexy shrimp to top it off. Could this ever work or would there be fighting amongst the various pairs (or trios)? How much territory do those little guys need? Any input would be great.

No particular hurry to get answers, just thinking about tanks I’d like to own one day. You can never do too much research eh?

Yes and no. It all depends on the size tank and the gobies. You might be able to do two, possibly three, goby/shrimp pairs in your 55g.

Awww I was thinking of 2-3 pairs (Yasha, High-fin and such) in some sort of smallish cube... but I guess in retrospect a cube wouldn't be the best shape for creatures that need private burrows!

Funnily enough I have 2 pistols in my 55g already. I'd thought the big one had killed the little randalls, but he turned up again yesterday after being MIA for weeks. I might try and get the big guy a partner now I know he's not a killer!

Well a cube with a 1 yasha/randalls, pom pom crab and sexy shrimp still sounds very appealing... *dreams*

WOW!

Is that the same randalls shrimp in both pics or do they have 1 each? No quarrels between goby neighbours?

Also, slightly off topic, but is there an easy way to sex yasha gobys? I'd love to get my one a mate.

yasha pair and randalls trio

one shrimp, the yasha's have claimed him but sometimes they all share the same burrow but usually the randalls like hiding underneath my dursa clam

fyi, i once got a trio of randall gobies from an online vendor and they all fought like crazy. i had to separate them and replace the ones that fought. they are very chill when it comes to other fish though but that fancy dorsal is sometimes too much temptation for other fish to nip at.
