EuroReef RS100/AquaC EV-120 cup attachments + heights!

I'm putting a sump in a standard AGA 18"x48" stand. I'm pretty sure all of AGA's stand are a standard 28 inches from trim line to trim line, which means about 25 1/2" or so from bottom of tank to the wood floor in the tank.

I was just curious the Euroreef says it's 20" in height, I was curious how much of a shaft there is on the collection cups before you can remove the cups competely, and out of the skimmer. I was also wondering the same about the AquaC EV-120.

I would really like to go with the EuroReef, but if it wont' fit, then a EV-120 is my next choice.

Thanks for any input you can give me. I really appreciate it!

The new Euro-Reefs have a zero clearance cup removal.

Should I use a gate valve with the EuroReef as well?

Gate valve is not needed. It comes with a twist type outflow adjustment.
