Polyp Extension, Problem?

I purchased this leather about a month ago and only had polyp extension for the first two day. Since then this has been the state of this coral and noticed a yellowing around the stalk and on the back side of the head. It also was perfectly round an now has an irregular shape. Is this some sort of fungi as most of my leathers are not doing well (no polyp extension), everything else is fine. I have checked every parameter I can think of and every test comes back fine. Can someone help or have any advice? Thanks in advance.
