Acronyms - With Photos

1st time poster, but I have been enjoying many of the discussions here for the last several days.

Is there a FAQ or Noob section of the site that would list many of the acronyms; RSM, SPS, LPS (to name a few) that would include photos of the species for a good visual example?

Scientific explanations are great, but a picture is worth a thousand words.

melevsreef.com has a good photo id area. Not exactly what you are looking for, but he does break down the photos into groups like LPS and SPS.

Also try this on the homepage. Open a second window and do a google search.

Steverino - thanks for the info - the visual identification portion of melevsreef will keep me busy for some time.

Yeah, I am also new to this hobby, as well as the site. I read about stuff all day long! Wish I knew half this stuff before I got my setup together, now I think Im gonna be limited in what I can do, but loving every minute of it so far!

I found a page on one of these forum that had every acronym available in alphabetical order. There are sooo many and people toss em around left and right. If you dont know at least some of them, youre gonna be LOST!!!

I would love to find that list again and print em out so I have them for easy reference!

Thanks everyone - great information! Another post mentioned that a list of acronyms and abbreviations can be found off the main page.
