Looks like irritated Xenia in the shape of a finger leather. Hmm Im stumped. Maybe wait and take a picture when the polyps are fully open. Is it hard or soft? Looks soft to me.

Maybe a Cespitularia sp. which is in the Xenia family (Xeniidae.)
