Need to Expand My CUC

I have a 29G tank at about 1 and a half months running now. I have around a 3" Sand bed with 35lbs of LR. Right now, my only inhabitants are a Lawnmower Blenny, Emerald Crab, Feather Duster, and 4 Turbo Snails. I need to expand my clean up crew a bit I believe.

Any suggestions? I would like the bare minimum if possible since I don't want anything starving to death later on(I already had one snail go that route and feel pretty bad....).

Also any advice on my snails. They keep falling off the rock and landing on their shells where they can't flip themselves over. I had one starve that way. Picked him up and he came dead out of his shell Emerald Crab had a nice meal for himself.

turbos are know to do that and will starve if not turned back upright. nass would be a good choice and they can right themselfs if they fall. and cerths are also great but again can't turn over by them self. i tend to stay away from crabs as they will kill a snail just for the fun of it. lol

you need to make sure that you have enuf food for your clean up crew. right now if that is your only bio load and you dont have any alge for them to feed on then they die. It sounds like you're already running into that problem. My emrald crab ate himself out of house and home in 2 months and I've had my tank running for about a year. The crab's been dead for about 2 months now and Im just starting go get some buble alge back on the rock along with a few stalks of other macro alge. I only have 7 snails in my tank right now and things seem pretty well under control in the alge department. Concider getting a few different types of macro for now or you'll need to supplement your cuc's diet.

Where do you get your corals from? Heard the guy that ran oceans of the midwest bought out safari land in sioux falls and got all new tanks. Might take a trip up there Thursday to check things out. Do you ever sell frags?

Sorry, I must not have explained things properly. The snail fell over and I neglected to right it(I didn't know that it couldn't right itself at that point). A few days passed and I finally decided to do it myself and found the surprise.

I'm really looking for something to Aerate the sand and eat detritus.

nass. snails would be your best bet then as they hide in the sand and stir it up while cleaning it
