What bulb to use for my refugium?

I am finally setting up my 215 reef, and need some advice. I have a 24" pc fixture with a 55 watt 50/50 bulb in it. I assume this fixture will work, but what about the bulb? Also, how many hours a day should I leave it lit? Overnight maybe?

Any light will work on a fuge really... but the growth will vary between bulbs. Some people leave their fuge light on 24/7 but I had mine on the same timer as my tank lights. If you want to get really good groth check out Melve's site and look at the fuge bulb page.
