Question on Cherub Angel.........

Ok, so after my nightmare with the coral beauty which found it's way back to the LFS. I have purchased a brightly colored cherub angel. How many of you have these critters and do not have any problem with them being nippers? He's in a smaller tank right now, I'm waiting this out before I add him to my 125 reef! Thanks.

This is my Cherub Angelfish. I have had him for over a year and he never nips at the coral. From what I read here on RC it is a hit and miss thing. I make sure I always keep him feed so I believe that keeps him from nipping. He is aggressive towards any new fish that are introduced into the tank but other than that he is the perfect “Angle”!!

I have soft corals near the bottom and SPS’s on top:

Good luck.

Jay

mine did great for a while then took to nipping my brain coral. That is the only coral he bothers. Just keep it feed well, they are a beautiful fish. I love mine.

Had one for around 6 years in a 55 reef. Never had any trouble with him. Interestingly I had a couple of aiptasia that never spread, after he died they spread like wild fire. The last cherub I tried was a major coral nipper, so I ended up selling him.
