Do I need a light over my refuge???
Quick questions. I'm building a 55 with a 10gal sump and a separate 10gal refuge. Do I need a separate light over my refuge if I'm only going to have rock and snails etc in it?
If so, what's best? Thanks!!!

If you later on decide to add any light-requiring organisms, like macro algae, they will benefit from a light source. Something in the 6000K range would work good for that purpose.
Also, scrounging about in the cabinet where your sump is located, working in the dark, is not a pleasant way to spend your time either.

I would plan to add a light to your fuge, it is a good way to control/manage algae.
