opinions on frozen food
I have been using Hikari brand frozen mysis from my LFS and have been happy with it. I have been looking for an online seller but have not seen any with the frozen cubes, just freeze dried, flakes or pellets. Who has the frozen cubes?
How does Hikari compare with Ocean Nutrition?

Thanks Ryan, But it does not look like there is a local or an on line vendor for them.
I am still interested to find Hikari on line, any ideas? Anyone?

I realy like the PE Mysis too. I could not get it last time and settled for San Fransisco and there is no comparison. The PE mysis are nice and fat and no empty shells or castings, the San Fran stuff looks like nothing but empty shells and eyeballs.

Never tried PE and the size has me a little concerned as most of my fish are young or smaller in size...for now
I swear by Hikari, I dose with Fish Solution and some Garlic Extreem and my fish just go nuts...and their color and health is noting short of outstanding. Very happy with Hikari for sure!

They can be shipped and arrive frozen? Does that increase the price very much?

Drs. F & S charges $19.99 shipping for frozen food orders, regardless of how much frozen food you order. They send the frozen food in a styrofoam cooler with a ton of those cold packs -- there were ~20 in the order I placed.
And yes, Drs. F & S sells the Hikari mysis shrimp in the cubes... I just ordered some from them last month. |

I got some frozen food from Fosters and Smith, it arrived completely melted. It was in the dead of winter too.

PE Mysis is usually available in different sizes. I get both the small and the medium sizes for diffrent needs. Its not so much that they are huge, its that they are fully formed and contain meat unlike the empty shells some others sell.
