250gal tank setup??
I am looking at a few used tanks and possilby new also.
one tank in question is 250 gal semi octagon tank. Flat back with 3 panels in the front. Really a pretty setup. The tank has one overflow in the center. Does this seem like enough. I has a 40 gal refugium, chiller, very small skimmer, nice tonga rock. 3 250mh and 4 96pc. All looks to be about 4yrs old as he said. The stand is top of the line custom made. My main concern is the single return and maybe a bigger skimmer along with a tunze setup for flow. I would like some stonies with lps also. What do you think of the setup?? is it lacking equipment?? |

Is it an acrylic tank? I have a flat back hexagon, and I find it kind of a pain to clean where the panels in the front meet. The glass tanks might not have this issue. I do love the look though.
I agree, it seems strange that there is only one return on a tank that large. It will definitely need some better flow and a beefy skimmer. How big is the sump?

sump is about 40gal. and yes it is a glass tank so no problems with cleaning.
I am not sure why there is only one return. |
