Which 10k MH brand?

I currently have 2 400W 10k XM MH bulbs. Its getting close to time for me to replace them and I was wondering what 10k bulbs are better than XM if any. I hear that the Ushio 10k is a crisper white than the XMs; is there any truth to this? I like the coral growth I get with the 10k, but at the same time I want less yellow and more blue. I also have 4 96w PCs as atinic supliment.

sounds like the 10k by reeflux might be a good choice as well

IME, it depends on the type of ballast....

From the description of what you said you want (10k w/ more blue + less yellow).... Aqualine B has a great colour when ran on an electronic ballst (like Icecap)

If it's a Magnetic Ballst, I'd recomend trying the CV reeflux... I used them and loved them

I also like the Ushio but have to admit that they have a "greenish white" look to them... might not be the bulb for you (color wise) but they have great growth...

I currently have the Ushio 175W 10K. Just installed another 175W MH and ordered the wrong bulb, an XM 10K. But still installed them. The Ushio is about two weeks old and the XM brand new. Side by side, the XM looks whiter/crisper than the Ushio. So I ordered another XM bulb. I'm using ARO e-ballasts.

I just ordered reeflux 10k, I have seen many tanks with them, and I like what I see, I lot of people rave about them.
