new vho-t5?

Have a couple of questions. Just finished my canopy redo. Went from regurlar flourescents to 2 vho-t5. Do I need to gradually build up to lighting the tank. Usually run 12 hrs a day with old lights. Also is the Orion 51cfm the quietest fan. Just installed them and seems a little noisey to me .......thanks
Oh yea, my t5's are awesome............

either back off the photoperiod and greadually step it up or use a light diffuser for a week or so (like a screen or something) just so you dont shock anything.
