So whats the deal with helfrichi firefish?

Hey all,

Over the past few years these have come down in price and are low enough for me to actually consider them now. Have heard that they are colder water fish and they do not last longer than a few months in reef tanks. Can anyone confirm this? Are they more fragile than regular firefish? Has anyone kept them long term successfully?

Thanks,
Mike

I remember when zoanthids were called things like "green" and "orange" and not "reverse gorilla nipple."

They come from much further depths than the typical red and purple firefish, thus, a colder area. This would make them more fragile in a reef system. I have never owned one but would like to so I've done a tad bit of research into them. I've not heard of them only lasting a few months, but if kept at warmer temps i could see this as a possiblity.
