it all depends on what type of tank you want to set-up.
Reef? (minimum of 1.75 lbs. of Live Rock per gallon of water) Frag? (growing corals) FOWLR? (Fish Only, With Live Rock) DSB? (Deep Sand Bed) SSB? (Shallow SB) BB (Bare Bottom) the type of lighting to use is always an issue. my advise is to do as we all had to do. think what makes you feel happy and then research untill your mind is twisted. which ever you decide, best of luck and welcome to Reef Central.
