When cleaning glass : Start up the HOB Filter?
I've a 30g with a skimmer and powerhead only. Sometimes I can't get to cleaning the algae from the rear glass until it's enough to create visible 'chunks' when scrubbed off. Would it be a good idea to temporarily pop the HOB on for an hour (with a clean filter of course) and let it strain out the algae particulates floating around?

If you are asking whether to run the filter while you are scraping the glass I would say yes. Might as well get it out of there or it will just settle someplace else.

If I understand you I think you are asking if you should remove the filter/ skimmer to clean the back glass......
I clean the back glass the best I can until water changes ...then I turn everything off and give it a good cleaning.... |
